We are a family daycare provider located in Mill Valley with an easy and convenient freeway access. We have a great staff that has embraced our goals and philosophy. Together we provide a safe, clean, fun and stimulating environment allowing the children under our care to flourish and grow.
 

About Us

We are parents of two beautiful children, and we have lots of hands on experience. We are a CA licensed day care for children ages 2 months through 6 years old. All of our staff is certified in CPR, First Aid, Preventative Health and Safety Training, Fingerprinted and Medical Clearance.

Philosophy

OUR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY

As a parent ourselves, we understand the level of trust you place in us when you enroll your child in our program. We strongly believe a daycare provider must absolutely love working with children. Our place is a non-smoking environment, where we are committed to make the children feel loved, accepted and comfortable as if they were among family members.

OUR PROGRAM

Our daily activities are carefully planned to enhance a child’s social, and both skills, fine (puzzles, play dough, lacing, coloring, painting…) and gross motor skills. We have a spacious and safe backyard along with a large sun room where the children love to play on age appropriate play structures all year round regardless of the weather. Although we are a home-based daycare, we do have a preschool curriculum as we feel it is an important foundation for the children. We have arts and crafts, yoga, story time as well as live music and movements classes. We serve organic, well balanced, homemade meals cooked fresh daily for breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. We have an additional private site where we share pictures of the children’s daily activities with Ronelia’s Day Care parents only.

” We started bringing our daughter to Ronelia’s at 5 months old. As first-time parents the choice of where to take our daughter for care was excruciating, because it required so much trust with relatively little information. Ronelia’s Daycare has been entirely fantastic for our son. He started when he was just 18 months old and he has completely blossomed in his time there so far, becoming more outgoing and more confident, and learning new words and skills seemingly every day. Ronelia is extremely thoughtful and caring, and we have felt from day 1 that he has been in safe, secure, and kind hands when we drop him off there each day. She has crafted a great enriching environment with lots of different kinds of toys, a good mix of indoor and outdoor space, lots of natural light, and a wide variety of activities that make learning fun for young children at any stage of development.

She also provides healthy, delicious food that our son loves to eat each day for mealtime and snacks. I was also impressed with her disaster preparedness, with generators and multiple air filters on site in the case of power outages or a smoke-filled day, something that no other daycare we toured made mention of.

When we moved to Mill Valley in the middle of the pandemic, we were very nervous about finding a childcare option for our three-year-old daughter.  We couldn’t have been more pleased with Ronelia’s Day Care!  From day one, we knew our daughter would be safe and well cared for with Ronelia, Tony, and Edith.  They are all kind, caring, and dedicated educators, and we were relieved to learn that they all had been vaccinated as soon as they were able to.  They do an incredible job ensuring the safety of the kids and their families while maximizing opportunities for fun and learning so the children aren’t significantly impacted by the restrictions of the pandemic.

Within a week of starting at Ronelia’s our daughter came home singing songs in Spanish, and her mastery of letters and numbers has skyrocketed over the past few months.  As soon as it was safe to do so, Ronelia resumed weekly yoga lessons for the kids and our daughter loves showing off her downward-facing-dog and tree poses!  Ronelia’s Day Care has been such a lovely home for our daughter and we are so grateful for the time she’s had there.

The most important things I know about Ronelia, Edith and Milvi, is that they are deeply kind and loving people, and amazing educators.

My son started at Ronelia’s Daycare at 15 months. He is usually rather hesitant to be handed to anyone but his parents, even his previous caregivers. But our son lights up every morning when he sees them, happily jumping into their arms for a big hug. I can tell they genuinely love my son, and have so much patience with him.  They have brought so much joy to his life (and ours!). Their sunny disposition and positive attitude are a blessing to any child.

With each stage in his life, they have been a wealth of knowledge on early childhood development, and always have so many creative ideas to share with us. They are nurturing and supportive teachers, and also fill the children with laughter and joy.  The array of activities that they do with the children is amazing, from music, to yoga, to art, as well as a beautiful outdoors area for the kids to play.  Everyday we receive many photos of the children, which is something so special as I feel more connected to his day. We cannot imagine life without them now, and I give them the highest of recommendations for any future family.

After a year navigating the world of nannies and nanyshares, daycare was my last resort and I admittedly went into the process with a lot of preconceived opinions, hesitation and fear. But after a recommendation from a family friend, my husband and I decided to give it a shot and we scheduled a visit. That was over a year ago and we have never been happier. Since Day 1, it’s apparent that Ronelia loves these children as if they are her own—it’s natural, energetic and all-consuming. You can see it the way she operates her business (attention to detail, communication, 0 staff turnover, cleanliness, low sickness cases), scheduling enrichment programs (Yoga, Music class, Learning activities) and her 1×1 relationship with each child’s parents. We had a serious case of biting and Ronelia handled it like a pro with solid recommendations, flexibility and support. We were able to overcome that hurdle in 2 weeks. Most importantly, as a fellow working mother, I truly respect Ronelia as a businesswoman, mother and caretaker of my child. She does it all with so much compassion and grace—it’s very inspiring. If you’re struggling to make a decision between nannies and daycare, all I can say is that the love and dedication provided by Ronelia, Edith and Milvi hands-down outmatches the 4 nannies we tried over a single year. We are so grateful to have these three women in our lives and look forward to enroll our 2nd child in her program.

They sent me text photos of my daughter to help ease the transition, and worked with me to help move us from half days to full days of care. In the mornings she was excited to go to school, and over time was able to express how much she loved the teachers, and how excited to see the friends she made there. Last year my little one started pre-school part time, and it was great to see how prepared she was for a school setting! “Roneli’a Daycare should really be called Ronelia’s House of Love. After phone interviews with several daycares and a handful of in-person interviews, we decided on Ronelia’s Daycare. We could tell from the start she was experienced and full of love. Our little boy was only nine months old at the time and it was only me and daddy (but mainly me) with him up to that point. It was a hard decision to determine who should be taking care of our precious little one while we are at work, heart wrenching even. The first two weeks were the hardest for us to adjust but Ronelia was there to coach us the entire way. We couldn’t be happier with Ronelia, Edith, Mili and Tony! Our son loves going every day and doesn’t have one ounce of hesitation. He has been going for eight months and is incredibly happy, bubbly, smart and lovingly called “Silly Boy” by all his friends. Not only is Ronelia’s loving but he learns so much for them! They have a wonderfully structured educational environment that they outline for each month. Lately, he has been coming home showing us sign language! They incorporate music, arts, crafts, yoga, potty training, plenty of outdoor activities, among others.
